In gay abandon
Leena’s dancing is characterised by a flowing quality, chiselled postures and a gay lightfootedness that remains well anchored in rhythm
The Statesman
Leena’s delineation of mudras was marked by clarity and her transition was effortless. Leena’s striking sculpturesque poses and being near flawless on footwork was a delight to watch

The imagery in Leena Mohanty’s Madhyamadi Pallavi alluded to the season of monsoon. The coordinated movement of the duet from one end of the stage to the other in a slight diagonal, staggered position while facing each other was a moment that would linger in the audience’s memory much after the performance is over.
Friday Review The Hindu
Chaapa, beautifully choreographed by Leena Mohanty was an exuberant Odissi number that highlighted not just Odissi’s visual flair, but also its folk and tribal roots.
The Star
This presentation transported the audience to Puri-literally-where they witnessed the magnificent procession of Lord Jagannath’s Chandana Yatra. Leena’s fertile choreography recreating images and feelings of the ritualistic fair and its intensely devotional flavour received recurring rounds of applause.
